  • How do I know if a Tiny Home is right for me?
There are a lot of factors, such as space being a big one. Storage space is very limited which can be a challenge for some. What can you live with and what can you live without? Many tiny houses are around 300 square feet, some can be up to 400 square feet but they require a big truck to pull it. This brings us to our next question.
  • What type up vehicle do I need to be able to pull my tiny house?
The average tiny house (30 Ft in length or less) can be pulled with a 3/4 ton pick up. Some are up to 40ft long and require a 1 ton dually to pull them.
  • How does a tiny house get power?
Most tiny homes have RV hookups since they are mobile and likely to be set up at an RV park or campground. There are other options as well such as solar panels and wind turbine generators.
  • How well does a tiny home stand up to extreme weather?
Our tiny homes are built to withstand hurricane winds. If you think about it, pulling a tiny house down the road at highway speeds (60-70) mph is equivalent to hurricane force winds so we build ours accordingly. There are also options for off-grid packages if you plan to make your tiny home more permanent. We can anchor them to the ground as well, like a traditional manufactured home would be; where severe weather such as straight line winds and tornadoes are more likely.
  • Are tiny homes limited to areas with septic hookups?
No, tiny homes are versatile and can be configured many different ways. Some have storage tanks for black and grey water with RV hookups. Some have composting toilets which in that case a black water tank is not needed. Some even have a filtration system for the grey water that can be used for watering your yard or garden.
  • How much does electricity cost every month?
This ultimately depends on your area, climate, and what is being powered. Most statistics show the average tiny home uses approximately 920kwh per year. This is usually around $50 a month, but can vary depending on your electrical provider.
  • How much does a Tiny House cost?
This ultimately comes down to your needs and wants. They can be built very basic for as low as $35k and can exceed $100k. We offer turn key homes that require nothing to be move in ready and a couple of different DIY kits. Our traditional DIY kit is an assembled shell on a trailer platform and the interior is left up to your imagination on how you want to finish it. We also offer a Ultimate DIY package which is the trailer platform and an unassembled steel frame package for DIYers that want to build their own to keep build costs as minimal as possible.
